Structure creates freedom.
Dependable financial systems create stability without making the business rigid.
The people and philosophy behind Explr
Explr helps owners and founders build the financial structure and support their businesses need, without losing sight of the people and lives behind them.
Reliable numbers matter. So do the decisions, relationships and ambitions those numbers are meant to support.
01 / Why we exist
There’s a moment when you begin to see it. Customers come back. More people are involved. Decisions come faster, and what used to be manageable in your head now depends on systems, processes and other people.
It’s exciting. It can also get messy quickly. The financial infrastructure that carried the business this far may not be enough for what comes next.
Explr exists to help owners build the financial organization around what they’ve created. Not because every business needs to become enormous, but because the foundation should be strong enough to support its purpose, its people and the life its owner wants to build.

02 / The founder
I was raised in Miami and began my career in banking here, eventually working my way into private banking and private wealth management. Along the way, I worked through bank mergers, helped a growing bank establish itself in Miami and spent years alongside entrepreneurs who had already built substantial businesses.
Many of our conversations were about the long view: succession, estate planning, wealth, family and what would happen to what they had spent decades building. Hearing what mattered when owners were thinking about the later stages of their journey gave me an early appreciation for the systems, decisions and relationships that allow something valuable to endure.
Eventually, I left banking to start building something myself. I moved to Singapore and found myself working alongside founders creating businesses from the ground up. More than any single venture or program, being part of that community of entrepreneurs shaped how I learned to build.
I helped founders understand term sheets and prepare for investor conversations, worked with Lean Startup methodology and customer interviews to separate assumptions from real problems, and participated in leadership programs across Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. Different countries, cultures and businesses brought different stories, but many of the underlying questions were remarkably similar. The work taught me to listen before solving, ask better questions and understand the person and context behind a business problem.
I had spent years alongside established entrepreneurs thinking about the future of businesses built over decades, then worked alongside founders at the very beginning. What increasingly interested me was the messy middle: what happens after something starts working, when the business, its systems and the owner all have to keep evolving together.
At that stage, coaching and strategy alone are not enough if the books, reporting and financial workflows cannot support the decisions being made. The financial foundation has to become as dependable as the business it is meant to support.
The work that became Explr began in Asia through supporting entrepreneurs and came full circle when I returned to Miami. Today, I bring together what I learned in banking, private wealth, startups and working across cultures to help owners build stronger financial operations and make clearer decisions as their businesses grow.
The numbers are where the work becomes concrete, not where it ends. Reliable accounting and reporting create the foundation for better conversations about growth, hiring, risk, ownership, priorities and the life the business is meant to support. Our work isn’t about making every business bigger. It’s about helping people build businesses that work better, endure uncertainty and support what matters most to them.
To help leaders build businesses and lives they’re proud of, with clarity, integrity and a little more peace of mind.
03 / What we believe
Good financial work is about more than producing accurate reports. It should make responsibilities clearer, decisions easier to understand and the business more capable of supporting the people who depend on it.
Dependable financial systems create stability without making the business rigid.
Understanding the numbers makes it possible to ask better questions and make more informed decisions.
We take ownership of our work, make commitments explicit and respect the responsibility that belongs to the business owner.
The goal is not to create more work around the numbers. It’s to make the financial foundation useful for everything built on top of it.
04 / How we work
Our values should be visible in how we communicate, make decisions and follow through.
Build the foundation first. Make decisions with a long-term view.
Say what we mean. Do what we say. Make responsibilities clear.
Build relationships that last through honesty, mutual respect and reciprocal responsibility.
Aim to leave every person, relationship and business better than we found it.
Build a business that supports a meaningful life, not someone else’s definition of success.
